Old Town La Quinta for a New Season of Original Works

Old Town La Quinta for a New Season of Original Works

This season, artist and illustrator Zena Frey returns to the desert with a new collection of original works, bringing her distinctive vision of fashion, form, and timeless beauty to Art on Main Street in Old Town La Quinta.

Now based in New York City, Zena continues to draw inspiration from the world of fashion and the visual language of sculpture. Her work reflects a deep appreciation for silhouette, movement, and the elegance of the human form—ideas shaped by her award-winning career in New York’s fashion world and reimagined through her art.

Zena’s illustrations carry a sense of history and nostalgia. Each original piece is presented in a carefully selected vintage frame, sourced from historic collections throughout California and Europe. The combination of contemporary illustration and antique framing transforms each work into something more than an image—it becomes an object with its own sense of memory and character.

Her original works are held in private collections across the United States, and each new collection offers collectors an opportunity to discover a piece of Zena’s evolving artistic story.
