I painted her while sitting on a long flight to California using my sketchpad and imagining a fabulous and unique woman wearing her "Chanel" earrings in the jungle. My more creative work is when I don’t look at references at all and just draw or paint organically. Most importantly, is the story it tells or is imagined. I have sold her at various art shows and decided to paint her on my beautiful, jeweled handbags and this unique tote. Each is one-of-a-kind as in all my pieces. No two are alike. She is embellished with only vintage embroidery I collect from India and thrift shops in NYC.

Hand painted original art in acrylic and permanent ink with “one of a kind” appliques imported from India and France along with the USA that are mindfully decorated to complement each piece. Each bag is 12 oz. 100% cotton twill canvas made in the USA that is machine washable along with the embellishments and decoration. Measures 15.5” tall and 13” across with a wide 7” gusset at the bottom. Double handle with stress point reinforced stitching. Air dry only please.

She is exhibiting her fashion illustrations done in pastels, inks and collage overlays with an emphasis in unique “Monogram Fashion Art”. 
Zena's new collection represents a return to her roots and passion of fashion illustration that began with her studies at the Fashion Institute of Technology.
